Volunteer with Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeast Virginia | Get Started Today
Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeast Virginia (BGCSEVA)! Volunteers are at the heart of what we do — helping create safe, supportive, and fun environments where kids and teens across Hampton Roads can learn, grow, and thrive.
We’re excited for you to begin the process of becoming an approved BGCSEVA volunteer. Your time, energy, and talents make a real difference in the lives of local youth every day.
Before volunteering at one of our Clubs, you’ll need to complete a few essential steps to ensure the safety and well-being of all the youth we serve.
If you have any questions, please contact Steve Gray, Volunteer & Donor Engagement Coordinator, at sgray@bgcseva.org.

Individual Volunteers
Individual volunteers play a crucial role in supporting our Clubs by sharing their time, talents, and expertise with our members.
At this time, individual volunteer opportunities are limited, but we welcome your interest and encourage you to check back for future openings as they become available.
If you’re interested in participating in our Career Day program, we invite you to come speak at one of our Clubs about your profession — share your journey, demonstrate your skills, and inspire members by showing them how they can explore your field. Props, tools, or visuals related to your work are always encouraged to help bring your career to life!
To learn more or schedule a Career Day, please contact Steve Gray, Volunteer and Community Engagement Coordinator, at sgray@bgcseva.org
Group Volunteering
To be considered for one-day volunteer or in-kind engagement opportunities, please contact Steve Gray, Volunteer and Community Engagement Coordinator, at sgray@bgcseva.org if your group is interested in getting involved.
You must contact us at least 60 days before your desired volunteer date. All group volunteers are required to sign a one-day Liability Waiver before participation.
While we make every effort to match groups with meaningful opportunities, our primary goal is to ensure that activities align with Club programming and the needs of our members. Please note that we may not be able to accommodate large groups or specific timing due to Club capacity.
Together, we can create lasting memories and brighter futures for young people across Southeastern Virginia.
