Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeast Virginia Celebrates Ribbon Cutting of Newly Renovated TowneBank Rosemont Club

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA (January 28, 2026) — Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeast Virginia celebrated the ribbon cutting of the newly renovated TowneBank Rosemont Club this evening, marking a major milestone in the organization’s ongoing capital campaign and a renewed commitment to the youth it serves.

The Rosemont Club, which has served the Virginia Beach community for over 25 years, provides a safe, supportive space each year for nearly 250 children from 16 Virginia Beach schools. The comprehensive renovations reflect BGCSEVA’s investment in creating a modern, welcoming environment where young people can learn, grow, and thrive.

“Every child who walks through our doors should immediately feel valued,” said Kevin Will, President and CEO of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeast Virginia. “We want this Club to be a first-class space that makes kids smile the moment they arrive and reminds them every day that this community believes in them.”

Renovations at the TowneBank Rosemont Club include:

  • A new illuminated exterior sign, allowing the Club to shine bright at night
  • Fresh paint, wall vinyl, and modern finishes throughout the building
  • Updated flooring, replacing outdated carpet
  • A fully redesigned kitchen with appliances that better serve members
  • Reimagined program rooms with enhanced supplies for art, games, media, and computers
  • A more welcoming front desk layout that improves safety
  • A newly fenced outdoor area, providing a safe place for members to play and gather

Together, these upgrades create a 21st-century Club environment designed to meet the needs of today’s youth while preparing them for tomorrow.

The renovation of the TowneBank Rosemont Club highlights how community investment directly strengthens outcomes for young people by giving them a place to feel safe, connected, and supported.

We extend our sincere gratitude to all who attended today’s ribbon cutting ceremony, including Congressman Bobby Scott, Mayor Robert “Bobby” Dyer, Councilman Cal “Cash” Jackson-Green, and Councilwoman Jennifer Rouse and the many community members and business partners who joined us to celebrate this milestone.
