A Day At The Club
At Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeast Virginia (BGCSEVA), we create experiences that inspire confidence, creativity, and character in every child we serve.
Our Clubs offer proven programs in arts, physical fitness, academic support, leadership development, and character building — all designed to help kids grow into strong, successful, and compassionate young adults.
And because we believe learning should be fun, our Clubs are filled with opportunities for friendship, laughter, and hands-on discovery every day.
Homework Help
When Club members enter for the afternoon, they participate in Power Hour our dedicated homework and tutoring time, giving Club members the tools, focus, and support they need to excel academically and build strong study habits. Learning in a supportive environment where caring staff and mentors offer help with homework, tutoring, and academic enrichment.
Games & Recreation
From board games to team sports and eSports, our Clubs have something for everyone — blending fun with teamwork and healthy competition.
Fun with Friends
Sports, exercise, and recreation are central to our after-school programs. Members are invited to join age-appropriate groups for games, challenges, and friendly competitions that build confidence and community.
Snacks & Meals
Every Club provides nutritious snacks and full meals daily — because kids can’t learn or lead on an empty stomach! Mealtime is also a great chance to relax, laugh, and reconnect with friends.
