Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeast Virginia (BGCSEVA) is changing the future for children and teens across our region.

Every day, an increasing number of young people in our communities return home to empty houses — without adult care, guidance, or safe spaces to grow. Left on their own, too many turn to the streets for recreation and connection, often facing challenges that can derail their potential.

At Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeast Virginia, we provide a better option — a place where every child feels safe, supported, and inspired to dream bigger. Inside our Clubs, members learn, grow, and have fun in an environment that builds confidence, creativity, purpose, and positive relationships.

We believe the best way to predict the future is to create it. That’s exactly what we do every day. Through dynamic youth development programs, mentoring, and enrichment activities, we are shaping a generation of leaders ready to build stronger communities and brighter tomorrows.

With nine Clubs serving children and teens across Chesapeake, Norfolk, Suffolk, Franklin, Virginia Beach, Portsmouth, and the Eastern Shore, BGCSEVA is a comprehensive youth service organization helping young people in grades K–12 reach their full potential.

Our programs focus on three key outcomes:

• Healthy Lifestyles & Wellness
• Good Character & Citizenship

We are open weekdays after school from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with extended summer hours to ensure youth have a safe and enriching place to go year-round. Membership is open to all young people ages 6 through 18.
