Generous Contributions from Four Corners Motorcycle Ride During COVID-19 to Benefit Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeast Virginia

Virginia Beach, VA – May 14, 2021 – In March of 2020, Anthony Jernigan, CEO of The Pinnacle Group, long time Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeast Virginia (BGCSEVA) supporter and Club alumni, showed up to BGCSEVA’s Rosemont Club on his Harley to surprise Club members. Mr. Jernigan announced to the Club members that over the summer, he would embark on a Four Corners Motorcycle Ride around the continental United States, with the goal to raise money in support of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeast Virginia. Soon after, as the world went into pandemic lockdown, and businesses and schools closed, BGCSEVA assumed that Mr. Jernigan’s long planned ride would be delayed, or even worse, cancelled. But the COVID-19 pandemic did not stop Mr. Jernigan from fulfilling his vision, and in June of 2020, he completed his epic trip and inspired contributions totaling $168,000. BGCSEVA is thrilled to announce that Mr. Jernigan has embarked on another ride this year, with the goal of growing an endowed fund to support BGCSEVA!

“This year, all contributions will again support the Anthony B. Jernigan 2020 Fund for Boys & Girls Clubs of SEVA, which is held and administered by the Hampton Roads Community Foundation. I hope that you will support my 10,050 mile Four Corners Motorcycle effort by donating to this endowed fund to support the Boys & Girls Clubs of SEVA,” said Anthony Jernigan.

In addition, this year an anonymous donor has agreed to match all contributions up to $100,000 dollar for dollar.

This year’s Four Corners Motorcycle Ride started on Sunday, May 9, 2021 when Anthony arrived at the southernmost point of the US in Key West. From there, Anthony will touch each point in the US: California, Washington, and Maine.

Anthony states that he is “committed to raising $1,000,000 for this fund in support of Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeast Virginia who serve over 2,000 local youths each year.” For more information about Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeast Virginia, visit www.bgcseva.org.
