FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeast Virginia receives a $5,000 grant to participate in Regal’s Summer Movie Express Program

Virginia Beach, VA – June 11, 2024 – Through a partnership with Regal, Boys & Girls Clubs of America are offering clubs across the country an exciting chance to participate in the Summer Movie Express 2024 program. This initiative is designed to help children avoid summer learning setbacks and escape the oppressive summer heat by engaging in fun learning activities related to their favorite movies.

As the film industry continues to thrive, Regal is committed to giving children the joy of watching movies in person, allowing them to fully dive into the cinematic experience. These grants facilitate transportation to and from movie theatres, purchase discounted tickets, include entertaining educational activities, and ensure Club members have access to concessions.

"Thank you to Regal Cinemas for giving our Club members the incredible opportunity to not only watch a captivating film but also unleash their creativity through a meaningful project inspired by it. You've turned entertainment into education and sparked imaginations that will last a lifetime!" Adrianna Rivera, Chief Development Officer

In addition to their cinematic experience, Club staff engaged Club members in a variety of projects. A favorite featured story building and presentations.
